Areas of Focus
Localizing the Bay Area economy will require an honest appraisal of the problems and challenges of the present "globalized" economy, as well as an assessment of the opportunities in key sectors.
In cooperation with our partners in the Campaign for Bay Area Localization, we have conducted preliminary assessments of the following sectors to help clarify present challenges, quantify the potential for local production, and identify policies that could move us toward greater localization:
- Energy
- Food
- Housing
- Manufacturing
- Transportation
- Water (forthcoming)
